My favorite movie and enjoyed Broadway Show just as much!

by Diane on 8/22/19Nederlander Theatre - New York

I had been wanting to see this show since I heard it was coming to New York. I was planning to go in the fall and accidentally heard it was leaving NY the following weekend. Immediately got tickets and went. Loved everything about it. Would probably see it again if it came to my area.

    Leaving? Leaving for Good?!

by Pretzel Bobby on 8/20/19Nederlander Theatre - New York

WHAT A SHOW!!!!! I've always heard good things about "Pretty Woman" on Broadway, and that it was a good show. But Man, what a down play on the word GOOD! It Was TERRIFIC!!!!! So when the show was to end last weekend I knew my lady and I had to get tickets. We're so glad we did! I asked the sound technician why the show was ending. His responds, "Wasn't Enough Ticket Sales!" Are You KIDDING ME?! Let me say, Sorry to all that didn't get to see the show. You truly missed something special... I truly hope an encore visits in the future. I'd love to take my daughter...

    Pretty Woman

    by J. H. on 8/20/19Nederlander Theatre - New York

So I have to tell you, I made the trip to NY for the day only just to see Pretty Woman ("PW") (earlier than my planned weekend) because when I was online looking to purchase tickets in September, saw that PW was ending the weekend of Aug 16-18. I did not want to miss this show because I read and heard a lot about PW. Well it was well worth the trip. The show was SUPER DUPER FABULOUS!!! in every way, shape and form!!! I came out of the show feeling sooo uplifted and happy inside. We were singing and dancing as we walked out of the theatre along the streets of NY. I didn't want it to end, and I am sooooo glad I didn't miss out on the opportunity of seeing it. It would have been a huge disappointment for me for sure. I don't know what amazes me more -- the way they work the scenery/how awesome it is or the singing and talent of the actors and actresses. The cast was amazing such strong voices and superb acting and enthusiasm. I told my son and his girlfriend, if I were so much younger I could fallen in love with the actor who played Edward (haha). I couldn't believe how close the actress of Vivian looked to Julia Roberts. I mentioned to my son/his girlfriend that it would have been "pretty cool" if Julia Roberts and/or Richard Gere could have come out at the very end since it was the weekend of the last of the performances. They told me I expect too much of New York (LOL) And, just when I thought it was over and thought the song PW would have played in full, was uplifted at the encore. It was sooo good I could have stayed and watched it over again. And how ironic was this, when we got back to the apartment and turned on the TV, Pretty Woman was playing on the Paramount station. I only wish I would have purchased a CD of the singing. I didn't even stop to see if there was one. Thanks again for providing a show that gave me so much enjoyment. I will continue to sing the praises of this show again and again (and I could go on and on about how much I loved it) and all the actors and actresses who did a tremendous job too. I hope to be able to see it again one day. I hope it comes back. Oh, and everyone in Maryland at my work knew I was coming. I came into work singing and dancing to PW song. LOL

    Absolutely fantastic!!

by Mimi on 8/17/19Nederlander Theatre - New York

Word for word to the movie with a few minor differences but the entire cast were amazing! The actress who played Vivian was incredible; quirky and comedic not to mention the renounced actress who mastered “Kit”. Absolutely loved every minute! Thank you Broadway 🎭

    Good times

by Sov on 8/16/19Nederlander Theatre - New York

A classic. We were always curious about how the musical would live up to the original with Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, but the cast killed it. We loved every bit about this show. The only thing that we weren’t too crazy about was that some of the songs were too heavily influenced by Bryan Adams. I understand that he wrote the songs and musical but some of the numbers sounded too much like a Bryan Adams song, especially when sung by “Edward”. Regardless I recommend this musical to others. It was fun!

    Pretty Woman

by Tina on 8/13/19Nederlander Theatre - New York

We had a fabulous time. Our seats were 2nd row from stage. If ur 4ft.11in then not a good seat. Lol. Row of seats very close together so if ur in the middle and need to use the lavatory your interrupting everyone around u bx they have to get i order for u to move. Other than that it was so much fun Great Play and next door is an Irish pub that has great food and great drinks..

I was expecting greatness from a Broadway show, and I was thoroughly underwhelmed with the Pretty Woman performance as a whole.
